Dear Mark,

Thank you for your response to the Committee's follow-up work on its inquiry into stroke risk reduction. Although your letter notes that you do not wish to provide a timetable outlining by when you will deliver all recommendations made by the Committee, Members welcome the information detailed within your response which outlines when we can expect to see the necessary developments within this area.

Further to your response, the Committee requests clarification on the timescales for the delivery of carotid surgery with the Welsh NHS. Furthermore, we would like to take this opportunity to express our hope that you would consider bringing forward the start time for the targeted campaign on stroke awareness, currently outlined as 2014/15.
